Jason Harrop is co-founder of Native Documents, which makes tools for editing Word documents in-browser, converting Word documents to PDF, and ingesting Word content in NLP/AI pipelines. For the decade since its inception, Jason has managed the docx4j open source project, a Java library for dealing with Office documents (docx/pptx/xlsx). Prior to that he was co-founder of Exari (then SpeedLegal), now a leading contract management vendor. Jason has also worked in government, telecommunications, and the legal sector. Jason has a Masters in Information Systems, studied Cognitive Science at a graduate level, and Maths and Law as an undergraduate at the University of Melbourne. An Australian, in his free time Jason enjoys the outdoors, especially on motorbike.
